Brian Casserly is a real American treasure. The best description of Brian starts with a combination of Maynard Ferguson and Louis Armstrong when talking about his trumpet playing, but then you have to start with Louis Armstrong and consider every world class "front man" and entertainer when comparing his talents as an entertainer.

Brian is an all around "entertainer" in the classic sense of the word. If variety shows like the "Red Skelton Show" or "The Show of Shows" were still being produced, make no mistake, Brian would be a regular guest.

Brian has a couple of things going right now one being "Big Bamoo" that features Brian and another called "Cornet Chop Suey" where Brian plays in an ensemble with a group of world class musicians a few of whom are veterans of the "Tonight Show Band" of the Johnny Carson era. "Cornet Chop Suey" plays all over the world at jazz festivals and special jazz events. Their most recent CD release "St. Louis Armstrong" is a tribute to the great Louis Armstrong as interpreted by them. Get it!
