Gene and Suzanne Carroll had this beautiful tree growing in their yard for 19 years.

It finally go so big it was hard to see the house from the street.

So, dad called the City of St. Charles to suggest that this tree might be perfect for Main Street.

He was right.

Thanks to Mayor Patti York, Larry Henderson, Erv Ermeling, and a whole bunch of folks from the City Parks and Public Works departments this tree became a beautiful gift for all to enjoy for the Christmas Season of 2008.

Karen Godfrey, David Rosenwasser and the crew at the Convention and Vistors Bureau took most of these pictures and commissioned the animations that they posted on the CVB website. Alan Juden was kind enough to give me those animations so I could host them here long after the season is over. Thank you all.
