Band
Stuff
Gene plays bass. He does
a lot of the background vocals and deals with technical issues as
they come up. He plays a Fender Precision with Seymour Duncan "Antiquity"
pickups. He also plays an Alembic "Spoiler" bass that
he got right out of college (shown here). His other cool "toy"
is a Music Man Sabre bass that he made fretless. A trip to Bass
Northwest in Seattle sold him on the Alembic FX-1 preamp which really
makes all of these instruments sound great.
Other Stuff
Gene is the technical
director for the Institute for Biosecurity at St. Louis University.
Since January of 2001 he has been making CD-ROM, DVD, and web based
materials for public health and first responders to combat bioterrorism
and emerging infections. Before that he worked with Bob at Imagitrax
and at Clayton Studios and KPLR-TV in St. Louis. Just a little something
to do between gigs.
For fun he likes to fish
and play golf. He also coaches his daughter's basketball team (with
a lot of help from Chris Cook) and has been the chair of the St.
Charles City cable commission and is on the July 4th Riverfest committee. |
